Cycling
The wide network of cycling and forest routes allow you to get a close insight into Bohinj’s landmarks. You can rent a conventional or an electrical bicycle, and to add value to your experience, hire a tourist guide. The adrenaline junkies will be overwhelmed at the Mountain Bike Park at Vogel.
Kayaking and Canoeing
Explore the Bohinj Lake and Sava Bohinjka headwater by paddling smoothly down the water surface. You can find descents of various difficulty levels, and all starting points can be accessed by car. You can also hire a guide, rent the necessary gear or join the kayaking and canoeing courses.
Rafting
The Sava Bohinjka headwater offers you the adrenaline-packed rafting experience – particularly in spring and autumn, and also in the summer during periods of high water. The difficulty level in the beginning of an approximately 10 km long descent is easy, but the difficulty escalates gradually towards the end.
Canyoning
You can come to Bohinj to explore the riverbeds of brooks hidden from the eyes of the ordinary people, but easily accessible during the exciting organised descents down Jerečica and Grmečica brooks guided by experienced professionals.
Horseback Riding
Enjoy trail riding in all seasons of the year, take riding lessons at the riding arena or take an exciting ride with a hay cart. Strong Icelandic horses at the Mrcina Ranch in Studor are a great choice for short, as well as long riding tours, whereas, the horses’ timid nature makes them a perfect choice for children and beginners.
Ski Touring
Bohinj offers excellent terrain for ski touring beginners, as well as for the most experienced ski tourers. Ski touring is recommended only to skiers who possess the appropriate experience, gear and physical condition. We advise you to hire a mountain guide.
Golf
Golf lovers can indulge their passion at the Bled Golf Course, which is located only a half an hour drive from Bohinj. One of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe comprises of the King’s Golf Course with 18 holes and the Lake Golf Course with 9 holes, which you can combine as you wish.
Hydrospeed
A sports activity, where you can experience the excitement of the river rapids first-hand, while you descend down the rapids in a neoprene suit with a help of a special polyurethane raft. Hydrospeed under the guidance of an experienced guide is an activity suitable for all age groups.
Paragliding
Do you ever dream of flying like a bird? Treat yourself to a tandem paragliding trip from one of the three take off points in Bohinj (Vogel, Studor and Vogar). You can also take a paragliding course.
Sport Climbing
Bohinj is one of the most attractive and varied destinations for sport climbing in Slovenia. Up to 16 climbing walls and well over 400 well-secured climbing routes offer you a number of challenges for your climbing adventures. You can also rent a climbing gear, take guided climbing tours and adrenaline zip-lining.
Sailing and Surfing
Windy weather conditions on the Bohinj Lake allow excellent sailing and surfing conditions. You can rent a sailing boat, but if you want to go surfing, you have to own your own surfing gear.
Free Ice-Skating
Every winter three artificial ice rinks are set up in Bohinj (Pod Skalco, Bohinjska Bistrica and Senožeta), which are available to the public free of charge. The Bohinj Lake also freezes over almost every winter, but rarely offers suitable conditions for ice-skating.
